What this covers

This page is about chandlery.app. The project you buy runs on your own Cloudflare account, under your own domain, with its own database — we have no access to it and see nothing your customers do.

If you only read the site

Nothing to sign into, nothing stored on your device, and no cookie set to follow you. Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookie and records nothing that identifies a person — which is why this page is not interrupted by a consent banner.

If you ask the question box

Your question and the answer are stored, together with the page you asked from, the language, whether the assistant managed to answer, and how many tokens it cost. That table exists for one reason: a question it could not answer is a page of the documentation that needs writing.

• No IP address, no browser, no country, no name or email. Your address is used to rate-limit the box and is never written down.
• Anything that looks like an email address or a long run of digits is replaced before the question is stored.
• A random id is kept in the tab so three questions from one person can be told apart from three people asking once. It dies when you close the tab and identifies nobody.
• The question is sent to Cloudflare's Workers AI to be answered. Please do not type anything into it that you would not put in an email to a stranger.

If you click a buy button

The click is recorded before you leave: which of the four buttons, which language, which page. Nothing about you. It is how we can tell whether a change to the page helped, which sales alone are too rare to show.

If you buy

Payment is handled by Polar, which is the merchant of record and therefore the party that takes your money, handles the tax and holds your details. We never see a card number. Polar gives us the email address on the order, so that we can grant the download, the licence key and the invitation to the private repository — that invitation goes to GitHub, under your GitHub account's own terms.

If you write to support

The email and whatever you attach to it sit in an ordinary mailbox, are read by the person who wrote the product, and are used to answer you. What we keep afterwards is the lesson, not the message: the support log records the symptom and the fix, with no names, addresses or order ids.

Server logs

Cloudflare keeps short-lived request logs for the site, as it does for every site it serves. They are used to find out why something broke and for nothing else.

What never happens

Nothing here is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build a profile of you. There is no advertising pixel on this site, no third-party analytics and no remarketing tag.
