5. Put it online
A real URL you can send to somebody — about 30 minutes. Deploy to a staging environment on your Cloudflare account, kept separate from production.
This publishes to staging: a real address on the internet, meant for showing people and trying things. Breaking it costs nothing.
Say this
Set up the staging environment on my Cloudflare account and deploy this project to it. Walk me through anything I need to click or approve, then give me the URL.
You will be asked to connect your Cloudflare account once. Your assistant will tell you exactly how.
Done when
You can open the URL on your phone, sign up, and use the app.
Then send it to someone. Getting one real person to use it is worth more than another week of building.
If the deploy stops
It stops for a named reason, and there are three you are likely to meet.
E_NOT_LOGGED_IN— Cloudflare does not know who you are yet. Your assistant opens the sign-in; you approve it in the browser once.E_PLACEHOLDER_ID— this environment's database has not been created yet. Say: "Provision the staging environment for this project." The project ships with deliberate blanks where those names go, so it cannot deploy into the wrong account by accident.E_MISSING_SECRETS— the deployed site is missing a value it needs. Secrets sit on your computer for local work and have to be set once per environment, so the very first deploy can stop here and the second one goes through.
Each code, and what to do about it, is on When something breaks. Having staging up costs nothing while nobody is using it.
Staging and production are separate
They have separate databases. Test data you create in staging never touches your real users, and the reverse is also true — nothing you do in staging can damage production.
4. Add what it does
The thing you actually wanted to build — as long as it takes. Install a ready-made recipe, or describe a feature and have your assistant build it end to end.
6. Go live
Your own domain, serving real users — about an hour. Check the project is ready, deploy to production after you confirm, then point your domain at it.
